Logo – Sacramento Banana Festival
Logo creation for the 1st Annual Banana Festival, to be held in Sacramento August 13th-15th 2010.
They needed a logo that would accompany official documents, forms, fliers and tickets. The design itself is unique, containing a fun and relaxed banana mascot symbolically holding up the number one (1st annual). The logo shape references the hat worn by Carmen Miranda, a famous Latin entertainer who often wore a had adorned with bananas and other tropic fruits. Finally, since this would be the first time the festival is being held, I wanted to incorporate the dates and location of the festival into the design.
